Understanding “Pending” actions

Why some actions are pending and how to unblock them.

An action can show as Pending when it isn’t ready to be worked yet.

Common reasons an action is pending

It depends on another action

If an action has a parent/dependency, it can stay pending until the parent action is completed.

It depends on the case status

Some actions are configured to become active only when the case status is in (or not in) a specific set of statuses.

When this happens, hovering the pending badge shows a tooltip explaining what status is required.

How to unblock a pending action

  1. Check whether a parent action needs to be completed first
  2. Check the current case status and update it if needed
